FAQ

Common Questions About Same-Day Moving

Quick answers about same-day and emergency movers in Kelowna — how fast we can come, what it costs, and how to book.

Can you really move me today?

Often, yes — it comes down to crew availability, but we keep flexibility in our schedule for urgent moves. Call us with your date, home size, and addresses and we’ll tell you right away whether we can fit you in today or first thing next day. Same-day slots go quickly, so phoning is the fastest way to lock one in.

How much does a same-day move cost?

The same as any move — there’s no rush premium or surge pricing. A 2-mover crew and truck is $175/hour (3-hour minimum), small moves are $150/hour, and labour-only is $125/hour if you have your own truck. Larger homes add a 3-mover ($235/hour) or 4-mover ($295/hour) crew to finish faster. You get a full estimate before we start, confirmed on arrival.

How much notice do you need?

Less than you’d think. Same-day and next-day moves are often possible when a crew is free, and even a few hours’ notice can work for smaller jobs. The sooner you call, the better your odds of a same-day slot — but it’s always worth asking, even at the last minute.

What if it’s after hours or the weekend?

Reach out anyway. We move seven days a week and do our best to fit urgent weekend and evening requests in around booked jobs. Call and we’ll check the schedule right away — there’s no extra weekend or after-hours surcharge on the hourly rate.

Are you still fully insured for urgent moves?

Yes. A last-minute move is handled by the same licensed, fully insured, professional crews we send on every job — nothing changes about the care, coverage, or standards just because it’s booked on short notice.

What situations do you help with?

All kinds of short-notice moves: a possession date that moved up, a sudden lease change, a deal that closed early, a mover that fell through, or simply a plan that changed overnight. Whether it’s a few urgent items or a full home, we’ll help you move fast.

What’s the fastest way to book?

Call (778) 400-5656. For same-day and emergency moves, a phone call is always quickest — we can check crew availability, confirm your rate, and book you on the spot. You can also request a quote online with your move date and addresses, and we’ll get right back to you.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent service. A last minute booking, we both were flexible and they were able to fit me in. If I knew they were so quick and helpful I would have had them move everything for me. Friendly and very polite people who enjoy their jobs. I definitely would recommend this company. They moved my heavy items with great care. The price for this move was very reasonable.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had two very good workers come over and move all of our furniture and household goods into our garage for a renovation we were doing.

The move on people showed up on time, worked hard and billed us for the exact amount of time they were there, very satisfied!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Adam & his crew were an absolute pleasure to have assist us with the move into our new home. On time, on quote and as promised. In the same time as projected, we consecutively had three 20’ shipping containers emptied & ready for pickup.

We were quoted on this same job by three other Kelowna area services. Hands down MoveOn Moving is THE COMPANY to go with for your moving & junk removal needs.

Thanks Adam!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really excellent local Kelowna movers; they did an apartment move in less than a few hours to help me out of a jam, and executed it beautifully. Showed up promptly, were so friendly and lovely to work with, and the quote was accurate and fair. Very appreciative of their work, Adam was diligent and careful with all of our items. Definitely will be using them again, when and if I need moving services or junk removal here in Kelowna. Standout find!
