Pool Table Moving in Kelowna — Book Online in Minutes
Pool table moving in Kelowna takes more than a truck — slate tables must be disassembled, moved in sections, and re-levelled at the destination. MoveOn handles every stage of the process, with overweight item fees confirmed during booking before any work begins. Pricing is quoted per item based on table type and access.
More Moving Services in Kelowna
Pool table moving is one of several specialty and standard moving services MoveOn provides across the Okanagan. Whether you need a full home relocation or a single-item specialty move, the right service is available to suit your schedule.
How Pool Table Moving in Kelowna Works
Pool Table Moving in Kelowna requires the kind of preparation most general movers skip. Slate bed tables weigh between 400 and 1,000 pounds depending on size, and moving them without disassembly risks both the table and the floor. MoveOn coordinates each job around table type, stairway access, doorway clearance, and destination setup — with every cost quoted per item before the crew arrives.
Pricing for pool table moving is quoted per item, not by the hour. A standard slate table requiring disassembly and transport typically runs 2–4 hours of crew time, while a three-piece slate with full breakdown takes 3–5 hours. Tight access or stairs moves to a custom quote. Re-levelling and re-felting at the destination are priced separately and confirmed at booking. For a full overview of moving services in Kelowna, MoveOn handles everything from standard local moves to specialty item transport across the Okanagan.
Every pool table move with MoveOn is organised in line with handling practices published by the Canadian Association of Movers. Crews carry WCB coverage and Commercial General Liability insurance on every job — coverage that protects both the item and the property it moves through. Arrival windows are confirmed before move day so Kelowna clients know when the crew will be on site.
Kelowna’s mix of older bungalows in Rutland, multi-level homes in Kettle Valley, and condo towers near Downtown creates real access variables for pool table moving near Kelowna. Narrow doorways, split-level entries, and tight staircases all affect the quote and the approach. MoveOn reviews access details at booking so nothing is left to guesswork on move day. Pool table moving near Kelowna also extends to game rooms in Black Mountain and recreation facilities across the broader Okanagan — reach the full Kelowna movers service hub for related moving help.
Booking pool table moving in Kelowna starts with a quick online form. Describe the table and access conditions, and the team follows up with a per-item quote before anything is scheduled. Same-week slots are often available, and pricing is locked before the crew leaves the shop.
-
Slate Disassembly Included Every standard slate table is fully disassembled before transport — rails, felt, and slate sections removed and wrapped separately. This protects the playing surface and prevents cracking during loading and transit across Kelowna routes.
-
Access Review at Booking Doorway width, staircase type, and ground-floor versus upper-level access are confirmed at booking. Tight-access jobs and stair-carry moves receive a custom quote so there are no surprises when the crew arrives at your Kelowna address.
-
Re-Level and Re-Felt Option Re-levelling and re-felting at the destination are quoted separately and confirmed before the move begins. This keeps the table playable after relocation — particularly relevant for Kelowna rec rooms and basement game spaces with uneven subfloors.

A few preparation steps on move day make the process faster and protect the table. Here is what MoveOn recommends for Kelowna pool table moves based on common access conditions and table types.
Pool Table Moving in Kelowna — Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from Kelowna pool table owners about pricing, access, timing, and what MoveOn includes in a standard pool table move.
How much does pool table moving in Kelowna cost?
Pool table moving in Kelowna is quoted per item — not by the hour. A standard slate table runs 2–4 hours of crew time and is priced based on table type, access, and whether re-levelling or re-felting is needed at the destination. The overweight item fee is confirmed before any work begins.
Does MoveOn disassemble the pool table before moving it?
Yes. All slate pool tables are fully disassembled before transport. Rails, felt, and slate sections are removed and wrapped individually. This protects the playing surface during loading and prevents slate cracking on Kelowna routes. Reassembly at the destination is included in the same job scope unless re-felting or re-levelling is added separately.
How soon can I book a pool table move in Kelowna?
Same-week pool table moving in Kelowna is available, with weekday slots typically more flexible than weekend bookings. Book online to check current availability — the booking form captures table type, access details, and destination address so the crew arrives with the right equipment and a confirmed arrival window.
What happens if my Kelowna home has tight access or stairs?
Tight access or staircase moves are quoted separately as custom jobs. Doorway width, stair count, ceiling height at landings, and hallway clearance all affect the approach and the price. Confirm these details at booking so the crew comes prepared and the quote reflects the actual conditions at your Kelowna address.
Is re-felting included in a pool table move in Kelowna?
Re-felting is not included by default — it is quoted separately and confirmed during booking. If the felt is worn or damaged during disassembly, re-felting at the destination is a straightforward add-on. Re-levelling is also a separate line item, particularly relevant for basement game rooms in Kelowna with concrete subfloors.
Are MoveOn crews insured for pool table moves in Kelowna?
Every pool table move with MoveOn in Kelowna is covered by WCB and backed by Commercial General Liability insurance. This protects the table, the floors, and any walls or doorways the slate sections pass through during disassembly and transport. Coverage details are available to confirm before booking.
Does MoveOn move pool tables across Kelowna to other Okanagan cities?
Pool table moving near Kelowna extends across the Okanagan. MoveOn moves tables to West Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon, Penticton, Summerland, and Peachland using the same per-item quoting process. Distance, access at origin and destination, and table type are all reviewed to confirm the full scope of the job.
What is a Kelowna moving company that handles specialty items like pool tables?
MoveOn is a locally owned Kelowna moving company that handles specialty items including slate pool tables, pianos, gun safes, and gym equipment. Each item type is quoted per item, with overweight fees confirmed before dispatch. The booking form captures item and access details so the right crew and equipment are assigned to every job.
